The Declaration of Independence of Argentina was a decision made by the Congress of Tucumán which was held in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán of the then United Provinces in South America. It was proclaimed on July 9, 1816 in the house that was owned by Francisca Bazán Laguna, which was declared a National Historic Monument in 1941.
